Speculation

Everyone is now reporting Marian Hossa is headed to Chicago. That means they won't be able to re-sign Marty Havlat. Havlat is a cheaper alternative - think Sather goes after him? He is another high risk/high reward considering his injury history (and being Kronwalled) but Mr. X from the Blue Seats and I discussed him earlier this season around deadline time and we agreed, he would look nice in Blue. We will see ...

I guess being Kronwalled is better than being Cornholed...

id rather take a risk with gaborik then havlat. Gaborik can carry the team on his shoulder if healthy....havlat....ehh

I'd rather Gabby than Havlat. Totally agree with #3. It just comes to price/years

We signed Brashear wtf?

Brash is official on ESPN. Let me go on record right here: Donald Brashear is a piece of shit. He is a disgrace to the sport. I will NOT cheer for him. He can score 100 goals and never throw another dirty check in his life (both highly unlikely) and I will still hate him.

Brash was signed for 1 year at $1.4 million. Orr left for a 4 year, $4 mill contract. I think Sather should have just kept Orr.

fudgely fudgemore. we should go sign Chris Simon too while we're at it...

My apologies...the Brashear deal is for 2 years, not one. I actually kind of wish it was only 1.
