Preseason: Rangers ?, Flyers ?

As I mentioned the other day, I am en route to Europe on a mediocre airline so I am unable to watch the game. So with that being said, please use the comments to point out what you saw, who impressed, who did not and all of that. It would be much appreciated.

Talk to you guys again from Prague later this week!

Be glad you missed the game Scotty. It wasn't too fun to watch. Rangers rookie defense was looking like a squad of rookies and for the most part the Flyers seemed bigger and tougher. Weiss got his ass kicked AGAIN in a fight and Avery was, well, Avery. But our defense was scrambling all night. Seemed to me like any Flyer could just skate the puck around or through our defense at will. Very discouraging game...

Oh, and did I mention that Jagr guy. Damn he looked good. Two goals, a few assists, but more importantly he was strong on the puck. Seemed he was everywhere. Wish we had signed him. 3 million is looking like the bargain of the year.

I'm not worried about Jagr's play last night--it WAS against rookie D after all. And he'll be the only bullet in a pop-gun offense, so he can score 40 and the Cryers could still suck! Check the interwebz, Scott--plenty of controversy between Avery and SImmonds.

Have a fun safe trip and keep us posted!

It appears our power play is still haunted by the ghost of Perry Pearn. I guess I can wait till the regular season to get on them about it though.

I'm not sure who was salivating more over the prospect of Avery not having a job anywhere in the NHL this year; Keith Jones or Pierre McGuire.

I place no stock in this game.....get out of it with as few injuries as possible. Basically our Triple A line-up against theirs. Even though it is pre-season...I just hate the Flyers.....the fun starts next Friday.
