Thought Of The Day

Do you think the Rangers encouraged MSG to hire Joe Micheletti to encourage more ticket sales? I wouldn't put it past Dolan to make the viewing experience on television so incredibly awful that paying the ever-increasing Garden ticket prices becomes a welcome alternative to listening to Micheletti's inept, incompetent, annoying colour commentary.

Just a thought.

Interesting note though, if you search for Micheletti on MSG's new website, no results come up ... then again it's a flawed beta website and further testing shows nothing comes up on that search feature, but it was funny to see the first time.

Amen to that. And whenever the Rangers play the Blues, they invite JD back into the booth to rub in our faces what once was.

As an Isles fan, it'd be real easy to gloat about the fact that JM is now you're problem, but honestly, I'm sorry anyone in the league has to suffer listening to that babbling moron on a consistent basis. You have my sympathies.

he just says the same thing twice, the same thing twice... i HATE how bad he is as a color announcer. i HATE how he snivels and whines when it comes to trivia. he is really, really bad at what he does for a living.

As much I cant stand Micheletti's commentary I feel worse for Sam Rosen at least I can turn the sound off and skip the intermissions...........(Recording the games while living on the west coast has its advantages)

PS Joe please watch the live feed and replays so you are not explaining incorrectly what has just transpired, its painful!

Along with not knowing much and being completely retarded he also sides with the other teams. "Oh the refs are missing calls on the rangers." Your a ranger announcer you should stick up for the team that is basically giving you a job when you suck so bad

At least he's not Chico Resch!!!!

Let's just have Sam and a microphone at the Rangers bench.

I though i was the only one that hated him. He always cuts off Sam Rosen and it drives me nuts.

I don't mind Joe at all. Don't get me wrong, JD was, is, and always will be my favorite, but Joe isn't bad. I've been pleasantly surprised at how well he knows the game and what's going on in terms of systems, etc on the ice. I think he's just got a tough act to follow- he's like Sammy Hagar!

And, as someone before me said, thank god we don't have Chico- he actually makes me laugh out loud.

I am sorry, I would rather listen to Chico talk about area food than listen to Joe repeat things that Sam said and pass them off as commentary. Or, even worse, listen to him entirely miss the linchpin of the play and point out something completely meaningless. That kids and new fans are taking what he says as gospel horrifies me.
