Glen Sather has failed the Ranger franchise yet again, allowing future Hall of Famer Brendan Shanahan to go to New Jersey. Sather's squad, led by his two huge free agent failures, can't score goals and now a guaranteed goal scorer is going to the team's biggest rival.
Can you say EPIC FAIL?
On the other side of the coin, best of luck to Shanny. He gets one more kick at the can before riding off into the sunset. Mark March 30th on your calendar, it is the last time the Devils come to the Garden. We took him to court, weighed his pros and cons and at the end of the day, Ranger fans still have much love for the cagey vet. Hopefully we can give Shanny the warm ovation that he deserves (before kicking the crap out of his team).

- I am Ranger fan and season ticket holder who is more than a little obsessed with hockey. The first thing I can remember is watching a Ranger game with my dad, listening to him yell "Shoot the puck Barry!" I loathe the Islanders, hate everyone else in the Atlantic and despise Mmmaarrrttttyyyy and Cindy. While I am a objective journalist in real life (seriously), this is NOT a media site and is kept quite far from my profession; it is simply an outlet for me to let loose my opinions of the Blueshirts - very distinctly Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. My Ranger rantings and ravings have appeared on (or been linked to) such notable sites as the New York Times, Puck Daddy, Deadspin and NBC's Pro Hockey Talk - and I can't thank them enough. THAT...and Jagr willing to play for $350,000 next season for Pittsburgh. Slats and his 'trust me' game is a FRAUD!!!! Let me say that again, "A FRAUD....I TELL YA!"
It will be awful when Shanny slapshots past Hank. Ugh.
