Now I am not about to jump ship, ditch the Rangers for Avangard Omsk and start typing in cyrillic but I do have to hand it to the Russians at the Kontinental Hockey League: They named their four divisions after four Russians who were pivotal in the history of Soviet hockey - Vsevolod Bobrov, Valery Kharlamov, Anatoly Tarasov and Arkady Chernyshev. Kinda makes you long for the days of Norris, Smythe, Patrick and Adams, huh? They were done away by Napoleon Bettman and would go far towards fans as a goodwill gesture after allowing his teams to rape fans with ever-increasing ticket prices ...
