Ice Hockey In Harlem Auction

It's a decent amount of money to get in the door but the cash goes to a good cause and not to the Dolans so that is a good thing. They usually have some good things up for auction and several Rangers are sure to be there. Perhaps Valley will have redeemed himself for Monday's mistakes by then ...

More on Ice Hockey in Harlem here.

A decent amount of money! Wow, you need to get a grip on the economy. People are out of work in record numbers while others are under employed. I know few people that can afford a $125 ticket to see a game much less give that sort of money away at a charity event. The cause is good no doubt but I for one need to pay for oil to heat my house, electric to keep the lights on etc.

I'm a volunteer there. We're very sensitive to the economy and went back and forth on the price. Hell, I'm volunteering because I was laid off after twenty years at my job. Unfortunately, the costs associated with such an event do not go down. Food, beverage and venue don't come cheap.

Many cannot afford to come, but I'd like to encourage anyone who'd like to contribute in anyway to visit the website and maybe PayPal a couple of bucks to keep kids out of trouble and on a rink in Central Park.

Thanks and LGR!

This is a highly worthwhile organization that does some quality work. Any support, financial or otherwise, would be well spent.
