*Sniffles*

Philadelphia Flyers announce:
The Philadelphia Flyers announced that they have signed 6'3", 210-pound center Blair Betts to a one-year contract.
...
"Blair came to our camp on a try-out and has earned this opportunity," said [Paul] Holmgren. "We are happy to have him on our team. He will bring experience and depth to our roster."
I make no bones about it, Bettsy was a favourite. It will be tough to see him playing for the Flyers but it's good that a hard working, honest player like him got a job. So congrats and good luck Bettsy, just not against us.

As I mentoined on another blog.. Im terrified at the possibility of a Betts/Richards PK combo vs our NYR power(less)play.

How many SH goals against this season? Anyone?

Makes sense that Betts would be your favorite Ranger, after all, you are a moron

If I am a moron, why would you bother reading and - even more pathetically - bother commenting? Is your life so sad that you need to belittle others behind the anonymity of the internet? I weep for you.

This news makes me sad. I sent a txt to a few of my friends on this and the replys reflected my feelings. :(

He was awesome, and will now bring his awesomeness to the Flyers.

One of the best PK'ers in the league without a doubt.

Betts was a gamer. Something that our current roster has so far showed too few of outside of Cally. That's why he was such a favorite for any Rangers fan. When I heard the news of his Flyers tryout, I knew Philly would jump on the opportunity. He'll be a perfect fit... Damn it.
